Default 92 CX Hatch Low Fuel warning light adding

Hey guys,

So I compared the EG hatch with the EK and it appears that the fuel sender unit is identical in both cars, however the stock EG CX does not have the low fuel warning light.

I swapped in the 99 civic cluster into my EG since it looks neat-er anyway... The low fuel light dosent seem to be functioning at all as when there is low fuel that pin that comes off the fuel sender unit simply goes from "NC" not connected to grounded, this is how all the lights work on the cluster is by activating grounds to enable and disable lights on the dash..

anyway its not working, the question is, Has anyone done this before?

Thanks.

yes, your both right, EG's do not have low gas lights, although

comparing the EK to the EG service manual they both use the same fuel sender part numbers, and after further inspection it looks like theres just a unused wire and im going to take a stab at it, but im guessing that the low fuel warning light simply goes "ground" once you reach a certian level of fuel in the tank, IE able to wire that back up to a dash light...

sooooo looking in my tank after taking the top off the fuel tank under the rear seat appears as if its not working as there's about1/4th of an inch of fuel left in the tank. so guessin its borked somehow...

my 3 cents.
