Fuel tank same between EG hatch and sedan?
Just need to know whether the fuel tank from an EG sedan is the same as in a hatch. Anybody know?

Yeah. I would just verify any parts you are going to transfer from one tank to the other are interchangeable. Things like fuel level sending unit and fuel pump. You can do this by comparing parts numbers on any of the parts websites.
If you are getting a complete tank assembly with everything on it, then it should be a pretty straightforward swap (though I've never done one myself).

I just noticed the fuel sending unit (device that drives the fuel level gauge) is different for both tanks. If you switch to the bigger tank, be sure the one you buy includes the sending unit.
Also the sending unit for the smaller tank is no longer available anywhere. The one for the bigger tank is still available at the dealer.

I wonder why the CX and VX only got 10 gallon tanks. Was it for weight savings? They'd go so much farther with an 11.9 gallon tank.
