Default overheating, radiator on d16a6

well, I bought one of those gasket sealants that go in your radiator, and after letting it run for about 15 min i was gonna take it for a drive but noticed it was overheating. the water doesnt seem to be flowing so im thinking its the thermostat. but does anyone know if it could be the gasket sealant that clogged the radiator or air in the system. any thoughts appreciated. also, steam comes out of the radiator cap sometimes

Don't jump to thermostat yet.

First flush your coolant system
Check for leaks
Fill coolant back up, and let it run again like normal, then go from there and report back..
Easy things first...
