ok i got a radiator installed works good and everything but i noticed the water/coolant i had put in is gone but their are no leaks so i refill it all the time.is that a problem or is it that the water just evaporates cus of the heat?
yeah thats a problem check yur engine bay for any green dried stuff. cuz that would be coolant. most likely theres a leak unless there wasnt enough coolant put in in the first place
If coolant is disappearing without a visible leak you may have a head gasket issue....but just in case you did not know this...When you install a new radiator quite a bit of antifreeze is removed. Sometimes you are given a false reading if you just top it off and go. When installing a radiator it is always best to fill it, let it run until the thermostat opens up, and then top it off while the vehicle is running. Good luck!!!

Anyway, the coolant isn't just going to disappear. It's going somewhere.
Well if you have a head gasket leak coolant may get into the cylinder, and eventually it could ruin your main bearings. It is not good at all to have coolant in the block, thats for sure. This is only if your headgasket is leaking. If there is a leak somehwere else, you run the risk of running your cooling system out of coolant, which obviously would lead to overheating issuews with your car. This could ruin your headgasket if it is not already, and possibly even warp your head. Why did you replace the radiator in the first place? Just wondering so that I can better diagnose the problem.

If you didn't do the work yourself, then take it back to the shop that did and tell them what is wrong with it.

Just a thought...when you replaced the radiator, did you let the car run while adding the coolant? You have to allow the new coolant to circulate through the motor while you're adding it. If you don't, you'll probably always be low. Turn the car on, let it begin to warm up and begin adding the coolant. I think it should take a little more than 1 jug of prestone to fill up a stock radiator completely. My Fluidyne took like 1 and a half.
Once you're to the brim of the the radiator while the car is on, stick on the radiator cap and check for leaks. If it still disappears, you have a leak, or your burning coolant which will result in white smoke/steam coming from your exhaust.

alright i changed it because the mechanic told me that i need a new radiator plus when i took it out it was dented pretty bad and plus i thought it was a good idea to change the whole thing so i would not have to worry about it later on and at first i thought my radiaor was broken from the bottom. i poured in fluid it all leaked out instantly so when i installed the new radiator i found the real problem it was just this little hose connected to the block it was torn but you could not see it so by the time i noticed this i had the radiator in and i didnt want to pull it out cus the radiator fan was a pain in the *** to pull it out and put back in.but imma try the start up thing letting it run with the cap off.i never get white smoke not even on cold start .i noticed one thing sometimes my radiator resevoir overflows and it leaks out the fluid but still runs good .ill keep checking on it

Did the car run hot at all before you installed the radiator? If your car got too hot before you realized that it was just that little coolant hose that goes into the block you could have caused damage...like the headgasket that was mentioned. If nothing else, at least keep it as full of coolant as possible until you find the issue. Good luck!!!
