How many wastegates i must use? I saw some pics of turbo era's F1 engines that are using 1 WG. Can single wastegate seal enough good or i must use two separate wastegates?

 

how much power are you planning on making? do you have a divided housing manifold? do you have a divided turbine housing on your turbo?

 

Yes, they are divided. I am planning around 500-600hp from b16a2.

 

One big WG would work, unless you're planning on running low boost for traction as well as high boost for power. A single large WG doesn't always react as fast, which is why people put 2 wg's on divided setups. You can do a single and keep everything the dual-scroll gives you, but the tube from the runners to the WG have to be divided right up to the WG valve. Once the gas hits the low pressure area after the valve, it won't revert back into the other side since the other runner is at a much higher pressure than the dump tube.

So if you have space/money restrictions, I'd go with a fully-divided single WG, otherwise a dual wastegate setup would be best for controlling boost. You could also do it like OEM's do, run a single WG off one vane. Thats only done because its cheap though.
