Default d16 build

so. i tried searching but i dont know what to look for. i just have some simeple questions though. i also checked out turbod16.com

1) do crank bearings have to be replaced to boost a d16 vtech safely?
2)What else do i have to do to the motor other then cam and gears for turbo.
3)what happens if you dont tune a boosted motor?
4)whats a reasonable goal to look for when it comes to horsepower and torque?

ok heres some words to live by "you do one thing you must compensate with another" you need to tune a turbo or you will run lean and burn it up, as far as internals you can run 6 to 8 psi safetly on stock bottom end (some people say 10psi but i personally 7 psi is enough to feed it and not cause too much wear on a stock bottom end) you will need to beef up your fuel system and ignition system, ect just remember the first line
