i'd talk to them and see how confident they are with doing your engine. I am assuming they do other engines besides tractors there, being a NAPA. In the end, i would likely take mine to a race shop. I brought some pistons and rods to a shop that builds 50,000 dollar plus sand drag cars. My pistons were basicaly the size of the valves they deal with. Talked with him, he expressed his concers with doing what i wanted, and we decided on what to do. Bottom line, we can't tell you that napa will or wont be able to do it for you.

It depends on the block. Some blocks have dry sleeves that are designed to be replaced, like my Dart block. B18 sleeves are not like that and require a lot more than pulling the old sleeves and pressing in new ones. Send it to someone who knows what they are doing with a Honda block.

My friend with a top alcohol dragster changes his sleeves with a mallet between rounds. You can't do that with honda blocks though, so I'm not sure what tractors have to do with it.

I applaud you for looking for alternatives for cost reasons or whatever, but chances are Napa isn't going to be able to do it.

Well I just got back from Napa and the said they would do it but I don;t know what all it takes to sleeve a block so im clueless on this situation. All the dude said was that he was going to BEAT the new sleeves down into the block. That word BEAT scared me so I just left. I thought they were supposed to be put into to the block with a machine press.
So I guess im not goin that route. Does anyone know of a good company in Georgia that can sleeve a block for me for a pretty decent price? Thanks for all your comments I don't know what I would do without Honda-Tech!!!!
