poor mans type r compression test

Default poor mans type r compression test

we ran a compression test on my buddys poor mans type r.. he has a jdm gsr bottom end with a usdm b16a2 head... his compression came up to 130 psi all the way around... is that normall? that seems to low for me what do you guys think could be wrong? thanks

thats way too low. the normal compression should be
9.5:1~11:1 compression: 210-275 psi per cylinder

yea.. but y would it be so low.. i dont understand.. and the car starts up fine and everything..

Maybe you should redo the comp test. Did you do it with the engine warm or cold?

i did it when it was warm..y? it makes a diffrence? when is it best ???

i had ctr's pistons and my psi was 245 all the way around. that sounds way to low to me.

yea those numbers are too low..i had an american gsr and the compression on each piston was 230..and i sold that motor and built this one..i saved the head .004 and then stock type r head gasket and 99 b16head..i dont know what the problem is..it runs stronger than my gsr and like a buety..
