I'm going to do a compression test on my GSR w/CTR pistons this weekend, does anybody know what it's supposed to be at? TIA

are those ctr pistons at stock gsr compression? If they are, your compression should be about 120.

260+ psi.

I'm using the P73-00's with GS-R head and 3-layer head gasket, and mine are all around 250 - 255 psi.

I think I've seen people hitting beyond the max reading on the Sears gauge before on the PCT's. I think that's 300+ psi. Don't quote me on that tho.

The compression calculator at c-speedracing.com just gives the compression ratio, it doesn't tell you what to expect when you do a compression test. Does anybody know for sure what psi I should expect? TIA.

do a search for compression tests and see what other ht members get, I think b18c1s are around 230~260?

as long as they are not +- 20 from highest to lowest your ok...

the psi varies depending on compression, miles on the motor (conditions of valve seals etc..)...

do one, and post the results....

I am using P73 A0 pistons (USDM R) and I got 270 accross the board not long after a complete bottom end rebuild. With PCT's I'd expect 300+... you're running at least a full point higher than my A0's.
