What would cause vtec to not ingauge with out throwing a CEL?
It will cross over at part throtle but not WOT but it also will not throw a code. I have a vtec light and it does come one when the ecu tells it to but say I start in first at wot when I go in to second the light will come on but it wont change over.....??
The only thing I could think of is some thing on the vtec solenoid its self.

I just fixed a problem like this on my friends car, the CEL was not on, but i checked anyways because everything else was good (oil level, gauges, ect.), and it came up 7, 43, and another that was the MAP sensor. So i changed it (map sensor) out with one i had laying around and that fixed it.
