DIES WHILE IDLING
i have a 97 ek with gsr vtec swap. i fire it up and leave it in neutral and take my foot off the clutch and immediately dies. its not dying from an electronic drain, but rather not high enough rpm's to keep it going. i gotta let it "warm up". this is very annoying since i just got the car bout 2 weeks ago. i heard about cleaning out the IACV but im not too sure what the process would be. also gotta adjust tension on throttle cable and in another thread someone was talking about the timing getting thrown off. could that be a problem? i should check my cam gears to see if they're alligned.
thanks for the help

same problem with mine and i adjusted the idle by moving around the idle screw and also the distributor. there are 3 14m bolts dont take them off just loosen them a bit and try moving it to see if idle gets better....
yea the distributor idea would work my smog dude did it to my ef and now it idles smoother. it adjustes the timing position. i will try that on the ek i didnt even think of that.
