Question on sand/paint
well i have a car that i ended up painting not to long ago like 6 months or so and it was just a flat black no clear coat. I was wondering if i could sand the whole car with a thin grit to even the color out, there are some spots that are darker then others and i left it out side for the winter with a car cover on it and when i pulled the cover off some spots got stuck onto the frame and i was just wondering if it would be okay just to sand the whole car down with a thin grit to even out the color. So any advice would help and thanks....

If you sand it there will be sanding marks, and you can't buff it so I wouldn't recomend it. If it's still in basecoat I'm assuming, just wet sand it with 600 lightly by hand and have the panels reshot to match. I would also recomend a satin clear so this doesn't happen again.
well thanks guys. for the info always helps to get advice instead of dicks trying to think they know everything.. but yeah i just wanted to keep it flat black but will re pait it...
