Default Short Ram intake for 02 LX

I remember reading some time ago that most after-market intakes don't give any performance increase compared to a stock intake. However, I see people using SRI's on these Civics. I have a 2002 Civic LX Auto. Are there any intakes that you would recommend that would give a bit of an increase over the stock intake?

i have an auto and maybe its just me but i notice a tiny bit more gain but certainly a lot more cool hissing noise. I dont have an exhaust so the intake is awesome. I have the injen brand and I like it very much. I also dont know if its just me but when I use premium gas my acceleration is a lot better than just regular...

i have an 04 lx auto and i threw on an aem sri and it truly did help with accel. on standard gas i believe your increase is cuz the premium gas your usin higher octane be carefull tho your block may not be rated for it

you were usin an injen right? every one i have spoke with says that the aem sri and cai are the most popular as far as accel.
so yeah good luck

Please use the search feature, as this is an extremely common question.

The most power you'll see with standard bolt-on's (Intake, header, and exhaust), wi;; be in the 10whp range. Not really worth it for all the money spent.

The only true change will be the change in noise made.
