Default dual intake?

i have a basic 96 civic with a d16y7, and yea i was thinking of making a dual intake pipe cause my engine bay seems way too empty. haha yea i am really bored somtimes. will having dual intake add more HP or is it the same thing as having 1. i currently have a basic AEM Shortram intake with a spectra cone. i was thinking of purchasing adapters to make a "Y" kind of design. so i can add another spectra filter to the other end. can somone show me a picture on what this can come out to look like? thanks

Talk about a loss of velocity.

It defeats the purpose of an intake, you would gain more being stock. Its not about the amount of air you pull in, its the velocity, and density.

I always had the bright Idea of opening the opposite side of the intake manifold to run 2 intakes. That would also include running dual throttle bodies. Waste of time but seem like fun.
