Default Boost Port... A couple of noobish questions...

So I again have thoroughly confused myself...

I've been looking over the install instructions for my boost controller and wastegate, and they both reference connecting a hose to the "boost port" (or so I call it) on the turbo...

Only one problem with this. My Garrett t3/t4 doesn't have a specific port on the turbo itself to hook these hoses to...

So... How's this work? Would I weld in a barbed fitting off the intercooler piping shortly after the turbo for this purpose?

I know I'm probably overcomplicating this, but hey, it's what I do. LOL!!!

If you need a boost-only source, then yes, tapping anywhere between the turbo and throttle body is fine.

Although you're technically supposed to hook a wastegate to a boost-only source, you can hook it to a vac-boost source. I have all of my accessories run off of my vacuum manifold which is T'd into the brake booster line

I just so happen to have purchased a vacuum manifold, but wasn't sure that you could do that...

I guess I'm just very green to this whole boost thing, and just trying to figure it all out before I start installing things when the weather breaks and it's not 0-10 degrees out anymore.

You'll figure it out...at least you're asking the right questions when you have an issue. Most new guys either ask stupid questions or dont ask questions at all...i'm not sure which is worse. I drew up a little pic for you...it might help.
