boost controller install questions
Can someone tell me if im hooking up the lines on boost controller up right?
From TURBO to the IN port of the controller solenoid
OUT port of the controller solenoid to the side port (BOOST) on the Deltagate
Does anything need to be hooked up to the top port labeled VACUMN on the Deltagate?
OR
Tee the line from the TURBO and go to the BOOST port on the Deltagate and to the IN port of the solenoid
OUT port of the solenoid to the top port(VACUMN) on the deltagate
THANKS FORO ALL THE HELP

Re: boost controller install questions (Mucackus)
For MY S-SBC anyway, the boost side of the wastegate needs to see boost. The SBC solenoid gets a boost signale from before the t/b, and then the other side of the solenoid goes to the vacuum side of the w/g. So, basically, the w/g gets boost signal like usual,a nd u add the line from the solenoid to the vac side. The SBC uses the boost signal it puts out to the vac side of the w/g to keep it closed.

Re: boost controller install questions (Mucackus)
I'm not sure if it really matters where you get the boost signal from, but I followed the directions that came with the SBC. I had to drill a small hole, and epoxy a smally nipple into my charge pipe. I suppose it wouldn't really matter where you got the boost signal from. I followed the directions that came with the SBC to the letter, so my setup is like this: the w/g gets its boost signal fromt he nipple on the compressor side of the turbo, the SBC solenoid gets its boost signal from the nipple I put in my charge pipe, the SBC solenoid's output goes to the vac side of the w/g, the SBC's control unit gets its boost reference signal from a manifold source. That's what the instructions tell you to do, but again, I don't know if it matters where you source the solenoid's boost signal from. There's a note in the instructions that reads: "IMPORTANT: compressor(solenoid) pressure must be between turbo and throttle body"
