Default How do I control My boost?

I have a B16 sir2, t3/t4, 400cc injectors, Greddy blowoff valve, 2 1/2 Intercooler piping, equal length turbo header, greddy profect 2 Boost controller, not sure what the name of the waste gate is, but spring is 3.6.

Drove my car down the road and was watching the boost controller for every RPM I turned the boost went up. I went down the road in it one time was watching boost at about 5500 to 6000 rpm it read some where around 4 lbs. So I decided to try something to see what would happen I shifted to second and punched it tires spun instantly and I quickly let off and boost read I think 11-13 lbs. I was told waste gates are loud with a open dump tube if so I'm yet to hear mine. The vaccum lines from the waste gate i ran the bottom vaccum line to the brake booster vaccum the top vaccum line at the waste gate runs into boost cont., and from boost cont. I tied into bottom vaccum line on waste gate. Is this right?

External wastegate right?

The side port goes to bosot source. the top port is left OPEN. if you ahve it on a bosot soruce. the boost will hold the valve closed and not let the wastegate open tor egulate exhaust gas flow

yeah and leave the top open

Throw a pull down and see what your boosts at and adjust your boost controller to the level of psi you want to run

yeah leave the top oepn and tie your manual boost controller into the side port. I would run withotut eh boost controlelr first jsut to make sure the wastegate is opening at the set spring.

your boost controler should be Teed into part of the boost coming from the compressor to the side port, the other vacuum line coming from the boost controller hooks to the top, if you do like the above it will work but you want some kind of pressure to keep the valve closed to the desired boost

dont just bleed the gate off, this will hurt youin the long run

and then you lose 1-2psi through the intercooler and you think your running 10psi when youre really running 8...

I dunno, t'ing off the intake mani or anywhere after the snail is where I would go

Really depends on your setup and how efficient. I lose less then .3PSI on my setup from turbo to IM and that's at 10.5PSI.

it's pretty impossible for me to give you a guess. but I've never seen ppl lose more then 2 PSI generally.. my setup is:

SC34, 2.5" pipes, Spearco bar/plate with 18"x6"x3" core, GSR TB. The spearco IC prolly helps.

I went out side and crunk up my car noticed exhaust was coming out of dump tube not real bad like a puffy smoke when I reved it up just a little bit. I was woundering if it should be doing that? Can't find name of waste gate got it off of turbocalculator.com, the first one.
As far as how I got my boost controller hooked up, I ran one single vaccum line to bottom of waste gate, solenoid I tied into the middle of that vaccum line. Didn't hook anything to the top of the waste gate. It still doesn't work, could it be something I'm doing wrong adjusting boost controller? It claimed 14 psi on my stock B16 I don't know how much longer it will take this. The boost controller is profect b spect 2
