I had just bought a 1997 integra gsr in jan. when i came back from Iraq. The car is in good condition but im having a problem with ordering part. Does anyone know a way to make sure i have the correct engine in my car. I dont see a vin on the engine just a serail number and that its a b18c

 

a b18c1 is the correct engine for your car, so is a b18c but the b18c is just the JDM version of it.

 

thats all you really need! most of the engine parts are similar except for a few, what is it you are looking for?

 

same problem I had, this bastard lied to me. I recently just bought a 98 GSR and the guy said the engine and body was never molested and stock but motor read as B18C (which is jdm motor). I mean the motor is okay, but I did vin check and it said the car had been wrecked before...damn lier...

the thing is is that im trying to change out the know sensor but the ends dont match also i cant find my crankshaft position sensor next to me time belt. I need to fix these two to pass emissions in texas

Correct, but the JDM B18C could be a Type-R engine too.
