Hey guys, I couldn't find anything in the search matching what I have to ask... so here we go (feel free to flame the newby)

I just got a 1996 B18C1 GSR engine, and noticed the engine stamp only said B18C. I know that with B16A1 and A2's the stamp only says B16A. I was wondering if this is the same for my engine and if there is a way to tell I got what I was supposed to get....

sounds like a JDM engine. Both the gsr and itr engines are stamped "b18c"

 

Sorry I forgot to put that in... It was supposed to a JDM so that is a good thing

JDM Motors do not have the numerical suffix at the end.

 

so either you got a jdm gsr motor (180hp) or a jdm itr motor (200 hp)
