Turbo help with stock engine....
Recently purchased a turbo kit for the S2000. the car currently is 100% stock. The kit I bought has a Pfab log manifold, turbonetics t3 60-1 turbo, 750 rc injectors, fuel pump etc...long story short the turbo is junk, we bought the kit from someone else and a piece of their engine came out and into the turbo. The kit came with an AEM ems and was tuned at 6psi.
My question is since the turbo is crap, is there something better to put back on in place of the turbonetics t3 60-1? Is the garrett t3 60-1 a better choice? This is where i need a little help. I'm not sure which turbo is the best to put on this car for a stock engine.
Here is what I'm looking for, around 350whp, good spool, and a turbo that will give a good broad powerband.
Turbos i was thinking about:
Gt2871r
t3 60-1 - turbonetics or garrett?
some other variable of t3t4 turbo, not sure on what.
Borg warner s256 or S258
Gt3071r
going to be running pump gas only.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Not planning on going too much over that untill I take the engine apart. I mean if it can make close to 400whp safely on stock internals and still spool good than that would work but i'm not sure that is possible.
It will have AEM and Evans tuning will be tuning the car.

You can make 400 on stock internals with quick spool. It all varies on the turbo you choose.
I'm running a GT3076, (with 3mm head gasket), pushing around 400, and I start to spool at 3k.

whys the GT3076 too much? since you're shooting for 350whp w/ decent spool on stock internals and want to stay at relatively low psi for DD?
I honestly haven't seen many straight T3 setups except for budget builds and D series. (search the FI section) I think there was a comparison in the FI section as well comparing BW S256 to a GT30__ turbo..
good luck
I hope I can FI my s2k soon haha.
EDIT:: here u are
GT3076R vs. BWs256 backto back

and info on T3 even tho its a B20

I agree ... go with a 3076, or even a 3071. Even if you are looking to achieve only 350 whp this turbo will spool quick enough and will leave you space to increase the power if you wish. Personally I was originally going for 350 whp with my build, but my tuner pushed me to go for 450, again with 3mm HG, as its perfectly reliable and to be honest with the amount of $$$ you are putting in to go turbo you might as well run 400 - 450 whp, seeing as the stock motor can cope with it perfectly well and will be very reliable so long as the tune is good -> its all in the tune.
I would recommend going for a GT30 series turbo for what you are looking to do
Hope this helps
