Default Need some advice , deciding on a turbo

I recently bought basically a turbonetics kit for my h22 prelude, minus the turbo, just because Id feel more comfy with an un-used turbo, plus Id want one that fits my specific application. The thing I was wondering is the kits for a t3/t4 turbo, so would any t3/t4 turbo fit with the kit? I also would like a turbo with minimal spool up time, I'm not looking for huge gains either, aiming somewhere around 300 - 350

If your only aiming for 300whp or so, use a t3/t4 57 trim. It will allow you a little room to grow; in addition, it will have very good spool time and this turbo is very inexpensive.

If the manifold is T3 flanged, anything T3 or T3/T04 will fit the manifold...fitting in the confines of the engine bay depending on manifold design is another thing. I also agree with the 57 trim. Its a great turbo for the price and will do exactly what you need.

Bringing this back from the dead lol, im not sure with what AR to go with, leaning towards the .48 just because of a quicker spool

don't go with the .48. It's going to choke up top and cause unnecessary back pressure in the manifold, generating excess heat.

I think you're more concerned with spool right now.......but I know you'll regret getting a small housing once the kit is on and running. You think you only want low end response now, but sacrificing top end for it will get old nearly instantly.

So will the .60 work better for the H22 then? kicks in a bit later I guess

For your setup and goals, i would suggest one of three turbos.

1. T3/T04e 50 trim .63ar
2. T3/T04b or e 57trim .63ar
3. GT3255e (pm TheShodan about this one)

**The GT3255 is merely a modified 57 trim. It has a smaller compressor wheel and spools up a full 500rpm faster than a standard 57 trim. On my stock GSR with the combination of an SLS shorty and the GT3255b, i had full boost by 3800rpm on the street. Its a nasty little turbo

yeah .63 or .82 would be even better without going overboard.
