Need to tap defrost button for alarm on accord
car is 95 accord and i can't quite figure out which wire to tap. helms states that black-ground (terminal D of the connector) and white/yellow-12v (terminal F) are on when switch is turned on. any ideas?

Aren't you an installer? Most remote starts I have seen have always had a "Defroster out" wire.
OP, use a test light and find the wire that switch's when you turn the defroster on. Tap this wire.

I am no longer an installer, but in my own defense, the OP did not state "remote start". He said he wanted to hook it to his "alarm".

True. In that case, you will probably need a relay to do this off of one of the aux channels.

Then specify that in the future instead of putting incorrect/misleading information in your thread titles.
Anyway. Pull the defroster switch, and turn the key on. As JDM_Ej stated, use a test light (or meter) to determine into which wire the switch throws power to turn the defroster on.
You will then use the defroster output off the remote start to trigger a relay to throw 12v into the previously identified wire. You cannot power the defroster directly off the remote start since that output is probably a low current output.
There may be a "trigger" wire in the defroster plug that you may be able to tap directly into with the defroster output, but I'm not sure how to test for that wire.

One of those wires could be the light for the switch and the other is for the defroster. If it's not for the light, then it's a low current control. I would go right to the defroster lines connection and see if the wire color is consistent with one of the wires at the switch.
yeah, thats the one i'm going to tap into..
