pioneer question

Default pioneer question

i have a pioneer 6800 and i just bought the pioneer interface for the ipod.. i went to install it and pulled the deck out and just spliced the constant power and ground wires and used simple connectors to connect the ground and power wires for the interface in there now i have no power what so ever to my deck any ideas i prolly effed up somethin with my luck but idk whats goin on

everything but the radio is workin but when i connected it all back up it wouldnt power up

check fuses, make sure nothing is frayed or shorted out. If you have a voltmeter you can easily find that out.

Check both the acc. power fuse, [under dash fuse box] and both the constant power fuses, [one on the back of the HU and the other is probably in the engine Bay fuse box and probably a 7.5A] 94

yeah i replaced the fuse for the acc under the dash and i replaced the one on the back of the headunit i didnt check any under the hood which one would it b in the fuse box under the hood?? im also havin sum issues with my speedometer to so i think i have a short in there somewhere everytime i turn the car off it resets the odometer and tonite i was driving and cut on the bright lites and my cluster completely whent out speed dropped to zero gas dropped to e and temp went all the way down so idk

Backup fuse under the hood for the radio.

Glad you figured it out. I was going to suggest check the fuse but others beat me to it.

Here is a question for you 07rebel, the backup fuse, [in under hood fuse box] is probably a 7.5A, what size is the fuse at the back of the HU? 94

they were both 10 the backup and the head unit
