What gives the under dash fuse panel power?

And the blue with a white stripe wire goes to my main relay doesn't have power and thats for the starter....

None of my fuses under my dash do not have power, and all the plugs are plugged in.

Power probably comes from the fuse block out on the passenger shock tower, but I'm not absolutely sure which part of it it is coming from.

I just don't get how to fuse box doesn't have power to any fuse....

Lemme go look at my car real quick and see if I can figure it out. Do you have a Chilton's or anything? I don't.

Chilton's? The book should have the motto "when it gets more complicated than changing the tires, then we ask that you take it to the dealership."

30A fuse in the engine bay fuse box.

That 30A fuse is the only fuse that has constant power, even without the key turned on.

I can't find any marking on the engine compartment fuse box to tell me which wire feed the cabin fuse box, but I'm guessing it's this wire:


I could be wrong. ( EDIT: I just saw 4DREF's pic of the schematic. That's the wire.) Be sure to check power at every point on the engine bay fuse box and report back if you have power everywhere there. If you do,and you have power at that 30A fuse in the cabin fuse box, there has to be something wrong up at your ignition switch. If you don't have power at that 30A fuse, with the key off, and you do have power at the cabin fuse box, we're going to have to dig deeper

Test all these points for 12.5V with the car off.

I do have power to all those points on the under hood fuse box. What 30 amp fuse do i need to check in the cabin? i seen like 3 of them. Do you know what number?

Fuse in slot 6. You'll see slot number directly to the left of the fuse.

Yeah. #6 fuse has 12volts. So its FOR SURE my ignition switch?

Not saying it's the switch itself, but something up in there. When I turn my key on to the first position, I get power to all my other fuses. Is the plug below plugged in?



Make sure all plugs to fuse box are plugged in tight, actually.

That plug along with all the other plugs are plugged in good. The plug has power and everything. Just not the fuse box

So #32 is not blown and the white wire with red stripe, T203, are getting power?






If so, then check the white wire/red stripe AGAIN, but where it hook up at the back of the dash fuse box at C409.

So, I took my ignition cover off. That plug I asked you about has 4 wires in it. None should have power with the key off. All but the black wire with the white stripe should have power with the key all the way on.



On the top of the ignition cylinder, the two fat white wires should have power with the key off or on. The blue wire with the white stripe should only have power with the key all the way on. Check all that on yours to make sure it's the same.

Josh, I don't mean to ask anything to insult your intelligence, but you are reading both sides of the fuses for power, right?

When i checked for power at the #6 fuse i took the fuse out and was getting power on the top side of the fuse. Should i check it with the fuse in? and i will get check those wires.

Check for power with fuses in on both of the little metal posts on the top of the fuse, with it plugged in. With the key on, make sure you have power to both posts on fuse #1, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

All of those fuses have power going to both sides of them. The white with a red strip wire has power at C409. and my ignition wires that have power are the exactly the same as yours

next page? - it isn't 11, it is 10-1, followed by 10-2, 10-3 - page 11 is the dash fuse box followed by 11 more pages (11-1, 11-2, etc.) for the dash fuse box - what do you need?

Josh, we have figured out that your fuse box has power in all the right places with the key on, so now we just need to find out what your car is doing. Is it turning over and not starting or is it not turning over at all?

Not turning over at all. Just clicks. No fuel pump prime or anything.

So the # 2 fuse doesn't have power and at the main relay the fuel pump wire does have power but doesn't prime
