Will KPRO really make the diff?
Will KPRO really make a big noticable difference in a pretty much stock A3 with I/H/E????
I dont' know how to tune so that will all be left to someone else?
I plan on eventually supercharging the car so I know I will need KPRO but I was thinking of getting the reflash and then upgrading to KPRO when I need it.
Basically I am asking if with my current mods will KPRO outweigh the reflash.
If I didn't get KPRO I would get the reflash and some other much needed mods and then start saving for the SC kit.

The biggest reasons why k-pro should be your next mod guy...
1. You are going to need no matter what.
2. It is much safer because it can be tuned for your specific application
3. You should see more power out of K-pro and a dyno tune than just adding the reflash.
This is just my suggestion to you. I am only running I/E right now but I am definately gonna make k-pro my next mod if I can afford it.

i have the reflash, and am saving for KPRO! (and eventually S.C.- in a few years!)
so yeah, save your money! ...dont reflash!

I would just save your money and get the Kpro. You just want to have all your mods first so that way you dont have to send your ECU back in twice. Yes it does make a large difference if you see the other posts that have to do with ECU and Kpro you will see this "Kpro FTW".

If you get Kpro, you'll only have to have it "chipped" once. You WILL, however, have to pay to get it dyno-tuned twice, if you choose to do that.
Clubrsx has a 10% special on Kpro right now, making it only $300 more than the reflash. It's worth it, trust me.
If you still have doubts, look at dyno charts from stock A3's that only added a Kpro tune and picked up lots of power.

it's around $900+ just for Kpro ...and you have to send in your ecu, to let them install it-
...that means your car's out of commission while it's in the mail, and in their shop!
unless you buy another ecu ($450) and send that one in, for them to install it into...
then it's around $1400 just for the ecu and kpro...
when it comes back "KPRO"ed! ...you have to have it install the ecu back in your ride, and have someone tune it properly!
Then is when most would do some DYNO work to see some improvement, but DYNO'ing costs money too!
(i'd say Say $200 minimum for proper tune and dyno pulls)
i planing on spending $1600 at minimum when i'm ready to have it done- and that's sending my ecu in...
it's one of the best (most needed) mods for the EP3, but it aint cheap!
...but i'm still saving! (putting aside $50 a week!)

when your ecu is "kpro'ed" and plug back on the car, can you drive temporary until you get it tuned? btw i thought kpro is already a ecu itself replacing your stock ecu.

It's just "chipping" and re-mapping the stock fuel/ign. maps. Sounds like you have more research to do!

I would also like to know if you lose any cruise or other features. Also what is the deal with haveing the key reflashed?

ON ~~~ > (www.hondata.com) An primary oxygen sensor from the 02-04 RSX or 02-05 Civic Si must be used. The 05-06 RSX O2 sensor will not work.
OBD2 must be disabled to eliminate errors generated by the ECU looking for emissions items that the 05-06 RSX does not have.
The speed sensor spins about 100 times faster on the 05/06 RSX gearbox as compared to the 02-04 RSX. Above 65-70 MPH cruise control may not function smoothly and may cancel from time to time. C0uld i get sum input 0n diS ???

yes this is on the 05-06 models.. those are some of the "issues" for them. the 02-04 is just plug-n-play per say and requires no change.
the key being reflashed... actually you're "reprogramming" the ecu to the key. the reason being is because when you go K-pro and if you don't receive the same ecu back that you sent in the ecu does not recognize the key because it's a different ecu. catch me? You can get it reprogrammed at your local acura dealership.

yes you can or you can tune it yourself. K-pro comes with the software and already setup base maps you can load. K-pro is your ecu with boards added to it and reflashed to k-pro OR you can buy one already k-pro'd.
