well guys i have a clickin noise on my d16z6
though it might be valve tap
got a valve adjustment
still clicks.....

sounds like its coming from my injectors???

anyone had this problem?? or know a solution???

Havnt really heard of injectors clicking but if they was, i would think it may have to do with the magnet inside? Try a new set (or ones you kow are good) or run some injector cleaner through your car.

are they dsm's? or bigger injectors? or just stock?

 

they r stock

i jus swapped the z6 in the car... and its weird becuz the higher the rpm the louder it gets...

i have a different IM that ima swap on see if it fixes the problem

 

let us know that fixs it.

All injectors make some small 'Tic' noise during their cycle to some extent. They can sometimes seem louder if your idle is too low. Whats your idle set at?

 

my idle is jus under 1000 rpm

Well that rules that out then.

Whens the last time you replaced your fuel filter? Run some injector cleaner thru your gastank anytime recently?

 

i jus swapped in the motor last night
it runs strong and pulls hard
jus a annoying clicking sound.

after i put on the other complete IM i'll see if the sound is still there

if so i guess its not the injectors.

 

Is this just at idle, or thruout the entire RPM range of the motor when it is in operations?

I would say swap out the injectors, see where that gets you.

yeah i'll do that

 

i've always thought Honda motors had loud injectors?

 

is it extra loud? injectors do make clicking sounds, it's normal, if you use injector cleaner and it still clicks i wouldnt worry about it

 

My b16 has the same problem but im use to the clicking..But its still annoying...Haha

 

yeah i kno they click but this is LOUD compareed to normal clicking.
