Ticking noise? Injectors?

Ticking noise? Injectors?
edit: Well I think it went away I guess, but I got another really loud noise. It's from the IM area, kinda sounds like its below it too. Sounds like a loose bolt or something rattling around, its on and off.
car seems to be running fine and it's a gsr swap..

Valve adjustment? What could cause the injectors to make noise? It just randomly started doing it one night.

You could use a piece of plastic tubing and hold one end to your ear and move the other end to the injector or head area where you think the noise is coming from. It's kind of like using a stethescope.

PCV valve makes a ticking type of sound also.. I'm not sure about other years but I know the 92-95's have the PCV valve right below the injector area.

i guess i would say it's normal? i have a B16A and mine does the same thing.
car runs strong and smooth, and i just did a valve adjustment alittle under 2 months ago so i know it's not that.

Re: Ticking noise? Injectors? (DrZoidberg)
is your noise at idle? can you rev the engine and it gets louder/faster? when driving in a tunnel/near a median, can you hear the sound bounce off while under load?
two things I've learned through all my hondas.......they all have noisy valves and they all have noisy injectors. the worst was my S2000.
if it is a random noise and it doesnt seem to affect drivability, try using wd-40 around metal moving parts/bolts/pullies. See if the noise goes away. I had a random tinny noise pop up in my '98 CL that ended up being a pulley bolt that wanted attention.

Re: (DrZoidberg)
when was the last time you had a valve adjustment? can you hear the noise if you get under the car and put your ear near the oil pan?
I'm not too familiar with gsr motors, but in general if a honda was making the noise youre saying......first I would do a valve adjustment, check pcv+egr valves, then I would assume it's the timing tensioner, then after that, not sure but I would start looking for holes in the hardware.
