Default what ecu???

i got a 95 civic ex with a 95 dx block and a 2000 ex head on it what ecu should i be using???

P08 would be the closest, 1.5L VTEC. A P28 will also work fine.

have you tried troubleshooting the map sensor problem?
that CEL will cause it to run like crap.

Check Engine Light.
the code the the MAP sensor....

I'm guessing you're looking for a different ECU because the car runs crappy with the one you have.
But MAP codes will make the car run crappy, so diagnosing the MAP code may fix your problems.

do you have the wiring all done right because you are using an OBD 2 head on a OBD 1 ECU obd has more sensors that could be why you keep getting CEL

i use the stock intake for 95 there wasnt any diff. sensors on the head itself

check vacuum lines, i had the same issue as far as the map sensor cel code, ran like **** with no vtec, then i replaced some fittings on the lines/reset the car by undoing the battery terminals for about 10 seconds then put it back on, if the cel code continues then locate the sensor and troubleshoot it from there, check all of the lines, cracks, holes, anything in the vacuum lines from the map sensor. it could be something very minor
