Default GT35R on an 1.8...

When can you expect to see a GT35R spool, not got the exact specs to hand but is there a general accepted value, 4500 / 5000?

above 5,000 for sure! I would say 5,500-6,000 would be a good guesstimate.

My T-66 was hitting almost 15 lbs at about 5300 and thats on a ls/vtec w/ only 2.5" down pipe. I like the way that size turbo feels on my car. Its not too small that you wont have any traction in first or second gear at a moderate boost level. My T3/T4 on my ls/vtec would have no traction in first and second gear. It almost feels like a Skyline, nothing in the beginning and then boom, your hauling some serious ***.

on my b16 with ctr cams, mild port work, skunk2 mani, ramhorn, 3" dp and 3" thermal back, t4 6076 bb to4s starts around 4500 and full boost just after vtec 5300. the turbo is pretty much a 35r except that it using a t4 center section.

I was talking about full boost give or take a few hundred RPM's.

.. it doesent matter as much as your exhaust housing size.

i have a .63 housing and it spools right at 5800 on a b16 stock head, cams, intake manifold.

is your 35r the 67mm comp. wheel??? the wheel from the pix looks big..compared to the reg. 35r.... could be the angle making the wheel look bigger..

how can u know that? if you dont know what full boost is set at.
it will reach 8psi faster than 28

it will start spooling almost intantly, just not build any pressure before 3-4000rpm
and reach full boost a little later depending on cams, manifold, Dp and exhausthousing.

We should know what turbine sizing you refer to and what boost/hp you are planning to make.
