Need some opinions, TE04??
This turbo came off of the Dodge Daytona I believe, not to be confused with the TD04. I was told that this turbo is comparible with a 14g, but slightly smaller.
My question is would this turbo be too small to run on a usdm b18c1 (in a EG). My motor is mostly stock (sk2 IM, ITR cams, sk2 cam gears) and I'd be running under 10 pounds, probably more like 8-10, (or whatever you guys think is safe for a stock block gsr). I track it every now and then, and I'm not looking to run 10's, but high 12's would be nice.
I ask because my friend has one for $100, zero shaft play, and he could use the money, but I don't wanna be stuck with an unuseable turbo.
So whatcha guys think?

that would be a no, why would that matter? If for clarification, the turbo is stamped as TE-04.

Re: (Bull_head360)
Its really not worth it IMO. 4 hours dicking around + additional time would not be worth it for me, and thats figuring in my low wage.
What you have to realize is that, while it was for a 2.2L engine, it was meant to make it feel like a torquey V6 - boost way down low, decent mid-range, but no top-end. The average 2.2L turbo was ~175tq, 155hp. Any attempt to run higher boost will be met with big exhaust restirctions. All that turbo will do to your GSR motor is make it feel like it has an M45 JRSC (the size d16's use) on it.

ok cool, that's kinda what I was thinkin and had said to him, and he came back with the whole "well it was on a 2 liter motor" and I said "that flowed like poop" so I'm glad I didn't buy it. ..........ERRrr maybe I'll put it on my lawn mower
