jumper harness fabrication
just a quick question, is there a place or way to get the part where the plugs plug into without choppin up an ecu? for example if i were building a jumper for obd2b to obd1 where could i get the obd2 piece? i need alot of them any ideas? i really dont want to be destroying obd2 ecus just for that piece. thanks any info would be greatly appreciated. im building the first one for my ITR haha to keep this itr related
You'll have to find the source for the connectors (cabin harness side).
Maybe you should think about this more before you go through with it. Seems you haven't figured it all out, and there are already several companies offering harnesses (some you can get for under $80).

Indeed, and when you factor in the cost of the wiring, pins, connectors, solder, shrink tubing, and labour, you won't be saving much buy purchasing the completed harness from a vendor. I'm sure if there is a significant number you'd be ordering, you could also negotiate a bulk pricing arrangement.

ive made 6 or 7 for myself and others and its not worth the labor after i sold them for only $50
i would go to the junk yard and get obd2 DX civic ecus and cut them up and then cut the harness plugs from the cabin of an obd1 civic/integra and use them
its alot of hassle really
