The M24 is more of a cover designation, and its on a lot of different T3's. That looks like a 60trim T3, which I've seen do 250whp at 9psi on a gen1 B16A.
The things to look for are the number stamped just inside the rusted side near the inlet. If it says .48, its a smaller version, but will be perfect for a low-lag street car. From what I can see, that is probably the case.

FOR ALL HONDA-TECH - The M24 designation is a Garrett internal materials designation for the type of aluminum alloy from which the housing is made.
The best way to identify the turbo (especially if it is a GT BB type Garrett turbo) is use the trim, flange dimensions, & a/r and compare on our on-line catalog. Trim calculations are explained on our website, too.
I have John Craig from Limit Engineering with me right now and going by a the photo he suggests it is a Nissan turbo (about 40 different models) in a T25 or GT25 frame size. Is it BB? Good luck figuring it out
