Where are the sleeves? If that's all you got then those aren't coilovers, those are just some really short springs.

With the nuts that come on the sleeves, they can be made taller looking, or lower looking. ie: when you slide the nuts toward the top, the spring will be taller, ect...

those are coilovers but no sleeves. haha you got ripped off.

get a hold of the person u got em from if u can and id suggest not even dealing with everything, get ur money back and buy coilover sleeves from somewhere else.

How tall is the spring?

I picked up stiffer springs for my GC's and I went with 7"f and 8"r i think or vise versa. Depending on the ride height and/or shortened shocks, i have seen 6" springs before and possibly 5".

This is what shocks look like with OEM-style springs on them (stock or regular lowering springs). You can see the spring perch way down near the brake line bracket.

Now this is what they look like with coilovers. You can see how the spring perch is much higher up on the shock:

When you assemble the shocks and coilover sleeves, the spring will be loose. However that's only when the suspension is fully extended (either off the car, or suspension at full droop). Once you put the car on the ground, the springs will compress.

If they still don't compress even with the car on the ground, then the car is totally on the bumpstops, which pretty much makes the springs useless, and in fact will make the car pretty dangerous to drive.

its funny cuz you say that you know matrix isnt the best... but did you know they are actually complete garbage.... these are just as bad as the no name ones on ebay.... you would have been 1billion times better off buying some lowering springs like the H&Rs about 150shipped on ebay. or the eibach springs that go for about the same..... and like that the car would have handled somewhat good....

but those those are at the bottom___ those equall garbage.... insted of buying those if you wanted to lower you should have just cut your springs...... it would have been the same **** and that would have been free....

Are you installing it with the sleeves set to the lowest setting or fully extended?

just a little help so you don't get ripped off like you did...save money and buy the good stuff don't waste money and delay time on buyin **** parts..if u save ur money instead of buyin those you can p[ut that money towards good suspension.
