Default Bad ECU?? new info below

What's up H-T. I need anyones help. I Have a B16 boosted running a p28 hondata. I wasn't making much boost so I started trouble shooting and found out that cyl 2 and 3 aren't working?? I have already checked compression, fuel filter, fuel pressure, injectors are all spraying, have great spark, changed plugs and gapped. I don't know what else to check other than the ECU( I tried to borrow one from the parts yard but the guy was an a-hole) ...this car was also tuned by a authorized Hondata dealer...before anybody says I should go back to see them...I know already...he's 3 1/2 hours away though. Thanks for any help.

if check engine light is on but it doesnt have a code (aside from a solid cel), you have a bad ecu. what year is your car? Have you tried to check for cel codes yet?

talked to Turbo Tune (Hondata Dealer) and since my injectors were all firing..and in order 1-4-3-2 my ecu can't be the cause. He told me to double check my compression..150-160-150-150. Change spark plugs from 2&3 and put in 1&4, same with wires...I have spark in all 4. The only thing I can think of now is valve train??not enough air. Timing is right on. I had Skunk2 valves and retainer put in..stock valves and new valve guides. Any thing I'm missing? Thanks H-T

so you're getting spark.....no bullshit are you seriously getting a strong spark? it doesnt help if you lie/predict

you have adiqute fuel and spark plugs 2 and 3 are not mixed up?

rember its 4321 the right side timing belt being cylinder 1................

did you adust your valves correctly and within spec? you know machine shops do not adust it for you

other than that im guessing messed up rings and not holding compression......ya its posible for 2 rings to go out.

and if you just rebuilt it did you clock your rings correctly? did you get the notch pointing down?

BS'ing you wouldn't help me at all. I have spark, and I have fuel so the only other thing I need is the air. I have compression...150-160-150-150 unless this is too low..I have Ross Racing 8.5:1 pistions. I did clock the rings when I rebuilt it. I will check valve clearance today and post any findings. Thanks for the suggestions.

no problem its hard to diag a problem here, try to help as much as i can........but it REALLY helps being there....... maybe one of the valve springs snapped or something when you were driving it rough, happens once in a great while,

anyways id just pull the valve cover check those valve clearances and check out that valvetrain..................otherwise im all out of ideas.....

when you clocked those rings did you make sure no ring gap over lapped, and no ring gap was over the wrist pin area?

also do a wet compression test, maybe do a dry once and do a wet one (with oil! not water someone asked me that before! ;p) and if your comp ratio goes up its your rings

just did the wet compression test and it isn't good. Dry was 150-160-150-150 wet is 152-195-180-170 . I'm guessing that bad installation was the cause since rings are brand new..but I'll see when I get them out. Thanks for all the suggestion civic.slow I'll through a result on here when it's all said and done.
