just got my B18a1 in my 97 civic dx. I got it started an it idles fine but when i give is some gas it boggs down and dies but if i peddle the gas and i get the rpms above 35-4000 rpms it seams to be fine??? Any help ? I was thinkin possably map is bad??? Any help world be greatfull.

IF NO CODES
1. check fuel pressure.
2. Check spark. ( see if the wires, cap, dizzy are arching.)

make sure you didn't mix up the tps and map sensor plug. its a common mistake

iat wont give you the problems youre describing

check the map and tps connectors, as suggested...it does sound like you mixed them up
come back after you confirm theyre in the right places - they are physically the same connectors and very close together, on the harness

 

what ecu and wiring are you using? make sure your dizzy wiring is all straight too. my car did the same thing and i had a few wires crossed up.

 

they are nope mixed up switched them and ran worse. I am useing my stock dx harness and i got both password jdm jumper harness's one for ecu and one for the dizzy. using a ecu the came out of the car that i got the motor out of.

 

Try it with your og dx ecu.
What is your ignition timing at?

 

ok put my old ecu in a runs good now and revs up fine but when i hold rpms at like 2500 it loups do in need to change the sparck plug wires couse of the d series ecu?
i thought b and d had dif fireing order.

 

This only means that you either have a problem with the p75 OR the jumper (Id bet money on the jumper).
Spark plug wires have nothing to do with the ecu... Firing orders are the same, btw.

Did you ever change the iacv wiring? 3-&gt;2wire?

You also need a spell checker...

 

no i have not done the 3-2 iacv yet but will do tomarrow. ******* rywire thats who i got the jumper from cause the car i took the motor ran fine ill make my own jumper for the ecu. or will the car run fine with the d16 ecu? o and will look into a spell checker ;p
