Default bad idle problem

Hey guys I have a 2004 Honda civic si..it has a full turbonetics turbo kit on it..and ever since ive had it..it has a horrible bounce in the idle..and once it quits it just sits at 2k RPM..a lot of people told me to clean the IAC and I did and it did nothing...also there was a place for a coolant hose i guess on the bottom with nothing going to it so I capped it off but that didnt help either ..any help would be appreciated thanks

When you say since you've had it, does that mean the turbo kit has been on since you've had it, or did you get it, see it had an idle problem and still proceed to put a turbo in it?

Start there and keep us posted. Do you have any way of contacting the person who built it?

Wow you dont know much about turboed cars and you went ahead and bought a USED turboed car with a bad idle. That wasnt too smart man. What map sensor do you have? Do you have Kpro? Is the CEL on? Have you checked the TPS? Good luck fixing your problem.

Did you rotate the air in your tires. You should be running on winter air. Check the muffler bearings? Check the halogen blinker level fluid?

I have the cybernation piggyback unit...someone on ephatch told me to get ahold of them and see if they can give me a different flash for it...and someone else told me that i need to get rid of that and get a Kpro cuz i will end up blowing my motor with the cybernation unit..but the sole purpose of the cybernation unit is to keep from blowing the motor thats why if you are running to lean or to hard it will kinda bog down for a few seconds...but i dunno

I would go with the kpro. Forget about bogging out from running lean sometimes, I'de rather have my car run right all the time. Get Kpro and get it tuned. I wouldn't drive it until then, because it sounds like you don't know what kind of tune the person before you had.

Then dont even bother driving the car until you have a way of diagnosing/datalogging the problem. Do you have a check engine light?

Yeah. I wouldn't risk damaging the engine, then you'll be putting out more money to fix it. Pm'ed about the rims BTW.

the gaurdian that comes with cybernation kits is as flexible and usefull in tuning as the emanage..which is garbage.

I tried calling cybernation in the past to get help with the gaurdian and they're very unhelpfull.

I think kpro is your best bet for a solution. If it was a vaccuum leak the rpm should be a little more sluggish than usual too.

Keep us posted.
