Default piston/rod replacement

i heard peps talkin around of replacing the piston/rods without removing the engine by poping the head and tap the rods out by removing the oil pan, since i dont have the tools to pull the engine out i would take any tips bout it and what bout rehoning the sleevs is that somthin i could do any feedback is appreciated

Yeah thats pretty much it. Take the head off, then the oil pan, and baffle. Then you will be looking at the crank where your rod bolts will be accesible.

You could hone it if you have a hand held one with a drill. I think he is talking about a line bore and thats something a machine shop would have to do with the block out of the car and completely stripped. You shouldnt have to worry about just use a hone tool that you attach to a drill. You dont have to spin it that much in the cylinder just enough to scuff it up.

no i wasn't talkin bout a line bore just a little honing to buff out out the walls ,and i got another question when i get my pistons do i have to put on rhe rings on my self or they are already on another thing how many sets of rings are there on the piston
