i recently had to pakr on a hill and i pulled up on my e-brake and i heard a loud pop. I let the brake back down and slowly lifted up on the hand brake again and had no tension in the brake. i took of the console and looked at it the 2 cables connecting to the handle were still good but the connecter broke in half. it cant be welded back since its a threaded cable, is there a new wire i can buy or anything....please help throw any suggestions thanks

if replaceable, it's gonna suck to change. the cable runs the whole way to your rear brake caliper. it usually involves dropping the exhaust. and you may have to bleed the brakes afterwards... if the line is even replaceable...

don't scare the crap out of the guys, for crying out loud, and is false info.

to the OP, yes the lines are replaceable. if you have rear disc brakes, you can pull them off any 92-00 civic or 90-01 integra with rear disc brakes. YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO BLEED THE BRAKES! as for the exhaust, you might have to just remove it from the rear hangers, but if you are goos with the right tools, this will be avoided!

it sounded a lot like he broke the cable itself...

i wasn't trying to scare him, just saying stuff he MIGHT have to do.
wasn't sure about bleeding brakes, but i've always had to drop the exhaust to remove/install the e-brake lines.

Go here. I guessed which car you had but it's the same part for all the cars I checked. It's part # 6. It's called an eqalizer and it's like 8 bucks.
