Default Help removing the clevis pin for the E brake cable.

Well I got the E brake cables for my rear disc conversion today, and I went to put them on and I ran into a problem. The clevis pin that holds the ebrake to the caliper is not coming out. I removed the saftey wire, and it still isn't budgeing. What am I missing here? seems as though it should come right out, but it isn't.

Pound on it with a hammer.

They should slide right out. It could have galled and is stuck, but a hammer should fix that.

Don't forget to release the parking brake

The trialing arms are in my basement. THere is a lip on the top, so I don't know how well pounding them out that way would work.

then pound on it from the other side using a screwdriver.

When something is stuck, what do you typically do?

I typically pound/pry on it with bigger and bigger hammers/screwdrivers until it comes out.

If that fails then I take out the drill or torch.
