Need help with parking brake
I knwo this isn't really a performance topic, but I just had my rear drums replaced by a friend, before the hand brake never really worked, but it did hold the car, just not very good. But now that I got it back with the new drums on the parking brake lever is always like 1 notch engaged so that the light on my cluster is permantly on. Also when I went to put the handbrake on I pulled it on and nothing happened, car keep moving, so I pulled it even tighten and still nothing. So my friend said you have to tighen it by going in reverse, so I tried that and nothing. Does anyone know what the problem is? ps the brakes work great no noises or anything.

yea you gotta adjust the parking brake cable...take the center console where the ebrake is off by taking out the two screws under a plastic piece you have to pry out under the ebrake and then wiggle it console out...then you will see a nut on the cable and you gotta tighten it clockwise until the brake engages...hope this helps

Either that or your friend didn't re-attach the parking brake cables right (or at all) when he did the drums. If adjusting the cable doesn't work then take it back and have him look them over again to make sure.
