Idle Problem with swap gsr in Ek
Anyone know what the issue would be if the motor is still idling at 3k after all the gasket (TB, IM). We have also change the IACV as well, but it didn't help either. Also we have change IACV sensor and air sensor. One thing I do know that will lower the idling is if you cover the hole inside the TB which I believe goes to the IACV but again we have change the IACV already. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, the motor lopes too if the IACV sensor is unplug. What have you try changing so far?

Well, right now I'm thinking the IACV we change with might be also be a defect. We are thinking about getting another replacement IACV. A vacuum was done before and after gaskets were change and it show no sign of leaks.

Fast idle thermo valve located on the bottom of the throttle body. Pull it off and remove the rear cover on it, there's a threaded plastic peice there. My b-series would idle at 3k rpm when it backed out. Screw it back in if this is the case. Search FITV on here for detailed pictures and see if this is the case.

I unplugged it while it was loping and it ran worse, so I figure it is doing something. Took it off the TB and cleaned it and made sure that the valve blade moved freely, and it didn't. I am now looking online for a IACV.

Nice find
Also, what throttle cable and bracket are you using? And is it JDM or USMD?
