Tial Dumptube Sizing
Are there any downsides to running a pipe with a diameter that is larger than the valve size? If I have a Tial 44 (assuming it would be possible) what bad things in terms of flow would happen if you used like a 2" pipe instead of the 1.75" pipe? Would there be 1.) negative affects, 2.) no real difference, or 3.) maybe a little benefit since it would be just that much more room for flow?
How are you going to weld a 2" pipe onto a 1.75" flange? Unless you buy a reducer it going to look like crap.
I have a bunch of 1.75" piping in 304 stainless left over from my dumptube. I have straights, 45* and 90* bends, and a 44mm vband flange. Let me know if you want some.
