rex+winter=?
i thought i would get 2nd opinions,ok i really need logical answers,i jus bought my rex off the forum and i'm loving it soo far until, it gets time were i can`t get any traction in the rain which my region been getting, now when i got my rex i say there was 70-80% tread on my tires well there's a lil less then that. i bought it w/ the follow mods done to it,has a ls in /90-93/lightened flywheel and exhaust i do have weight in the car and i was thinking if i can`t get traction now with weight wat the f*** am i gonna do when the snow falls?now i have a 90 lude which i`m in the process of swapping and been w/o a car for a while now.i came across the rex and decide jus to get and prayed for global warming to take it`s course now i know there has/had to be somebody in the same conflict that i`m having any advice input flame...?
p.s i know i can air out the tires some......sell it get 4x4 and finish lude or keep it stratergize with fellow rex owners and make it through the winter and finish lude

You are not far from where I am around an hour ish, you'll be ok I lasted last winter in a summer only tire in my camaro.
Civic was only when snow was on the ground.
We get enough snow you should know how to deal with it esp stock height on all seasons.

i live in MO and last year i got around fine in my si hatch its about 2 inches off the ground....just slow your speed and use your head...It is fairly easy to drive an ef in snow...i also live on a gravel road, it went all the way down the road in about of 10 inches of snow and never got stuck...like i said just slow down and use your noodle
You don't wanna kick up the ice, snow+salt=rust. Haven't tried this yet, but I heard that if you stop slipping your supposed to ease off the accelerator and move the steering wheel left and right until you gain control.

Ive never driven in snow, but veering left and right to gain control just sounds odd.

I live in Ontario and work at a ski hill which means driving down a fairly windy mountain road to get to work 7 days a week. I have a 91 hatch with a B16 and it's fine. All I do for winter is put on some decent snow tires and raise up the suspension a bit. Goodluck man
YEAH man take some air out and take things slow and dont get on it
my whole street was coverd in snow and i made it just fine, and dont make quick stops lol im sure you already know that (you probably know how to drive ) good luck man my crx has like 2 inches of ground clearence

Good advice.
I drove a Si hatch on stock height for a few years with winter tires and never really had problems.

on summer tires its impossible to move, i had to floor it everywhere to move last winter and now i got all season performances, should be a bit better.
just drive under speed limit, be careful, and dont go in really deep snow. i gotr stuck from not having enough groud clearance multiple times last winter in Ohio.
be safe!

i drove a (dropped on its nuts) crx and i mean its as low as you can drive a crx, we're talkin 2 in. or less of ground clearance, with just some snow tires all winter last year and i did just fine. only got stuck once and it was in really deep snow. whats funny is that on the plowed roads my car did better then the 4x4s and trucks lol cuz of the low center of gravity and some good snow tires. i could almost drive it like it was dry pavment. just finance some tires from les schwaub its really cheap.
