Default Winter Tires = A must!

We all know civic's don't handle well in the winter with them being so light weight and missing out on the anti lock brakes so what kind of tires do you recommend? I was looking at the Goodyear Ultra Grip tires or the Pirelli Winter 210 Snowsport tires. Give me your thoughts and experiences!! THANKS!

I'm in North Dakota, so I know how the whole winter thing goes down. Guys around here have used the blizzaks (sp?), and I have heard nothing, but good things.

They are just a Bridgestone tire. Any local dealer could get em I'm sure. Or you could go to discount tire or the tire rack I'm sure.

I haven't had a problem with yokohama avids or pirelli all seasons. My girl has Dunlop sport A2s. We don't get a lot of snow or ice in my area, but when we do, it is pretty nasty. I have never had a problem dealing with any of it in my car.

you might also want to invest in a set of chains.
