Default Car won't start!!

I have a d15b single cam motor.
This after noon I started my car to get it
warm and running before I headed to work.
While I was getting ready to leave I check the time and
I was 20 minutes early, so i decided to check my fluids (brake fluid/ clutch fluid) and what not.
I check my distributor and number 2 spark plug wire looked like it wasn't properly in so
i tried pushing it (note that the car was still running), it didn't go in so I pulled it out to properly insert back again then the motor kinda sounded like a subby because it was running on 3 cylinders. When I tried putting it back the car started to die and once the spark plug wire was proper inserted into the distributor the motor
shut off. It didn't worry me that it shut off. So I went to start it. First time it didn't work. so I waited 4 minutes then started it again, it didn't start so I just left it
alone and headed to work with my dads truck. Now I came home from work thinking
it would start because its cold. It doesn't!

What could be the problem causing this?

Do i need a whole new distributor?
Do I need to replace the ignition rotor
and distributor cap?

please help me?

Throwing code 16 (fuel injetors)

Sounds like you made the coil **** out to me... Replace the dizzy, comes with new coil, and all the sensors that **** out on them, I almost know you'll get spark back. Though you can buy just the coil but you gotta mess with take the dizzy apart.. PITA to me...

Edit: if you gotta multimeter check the resistance in the coil...

Primary Winding 0.6 - 0.8 Ohms
Secondary Winding 12.8 - 19.2 kOhms

alright I just replaced my dizzy.
The problem is fixed,
now the car is lagging when
accelerating from 1000-3000 rpm.
After that it runs normal.
What could be the cause of this.
