please please, car wont start.
b18b1 motor. i just changed the distributor, and car was running before the change..although i hadnt driven or started it in about a week and in the week it got cold here. so i change it and try to start the car and its like this spinning sound...i figured out the camshaft makes the rotor spin but it doesnt start? so i try to start it for awile and it backfires a few times...awile later it wont even spin and i take ut my spark plugs and they are wet with fuel...so i leve them out for a few days to let it evaporate and try again...no luck. i got new plugs today and tried it and it sounds better and fires a few times (not all cylinders fire at a time) and it still wont workk, please help tech guys..?

yeah i tried that too and is still doesnt work, i knoiw the new dist is fine, i checked the sparks from each wire but is it possible that an engine could be flooded so badly that it wont start even after like 30 mins of trying to start it?
Could be a few things! First either you put the wires in the wrong order, and second, the Dist timing is way out. The first thing could cause your car to backfire.
Check those out properly first. It must be either one!!

not 100% sure...but try this...reclock the distributor...turn the distributor internal thing 180 degrees...this same thing happened to me...my friend turned it and car fired right up...
I agree with the other dudes.. I'd double check and make sure that the wires are put on correctly.. Last time I helped my dad fix his teg and assured me that the wires were on right on the distributor.. I double checked it an hour later and that was the problem.. The engine did the same things you said.. It would almost start and then die..
But anyways, good luck with whatever you do..

hmm, anyone know the proper order so i can recheck. if looking from the pasenger side start from the bar thing in the middle that goes straight up and go left of that, then below, then right, then up....and put the order here.
I don't know on a teg, but on my civic, if you're looking a the cap with the square/flat side up, on the bottom left is cylinder one. It has a little "C" in a circle next to it marking it as the first cylinder. In a clockwise fashion, the next is 3, then 4, then 2.
Did you take the distributor completely off the head? If so you may have put the distributor on a 180deg out. Set the motor for TDC, pull the cap off make sure it's on wire #1 and not 4. Helms manual details the cylinder referance. Are you sure you have spark seen problems with the ignitor pack in the coil of those integras before.
yeah i have spark, shocked the **** out of myself thought i was only touching rubber, lol. and i checked the pattern against my friends teg and we did the same? main problem is it backfires then refuses to even crank after awhile...
