Radiator problem with turbo setup. Any ideas?
I am in the process of installing a t3 super 45 turbo in my 88 civic hatchback, and I am gonna have problems with the radiator fitting. I didnt think it was going to be a big deal, I was just gonna use a radiator out of my old 96 civic. Wrong, the damn thing is about 2 inches to high and wont clear the hood. I can turn the turbo around and possibly make it work, but the downpipe I have will be useless. Any ideas of what I should do?
Drill out your stock mounts and then ask your friend who can weld to relocate the bracket farther down on the support.

i had the same prob., i cut my core on the top about an inch and theres plenty of room, or you could use a smaller rad., like from a del sol or civic.

What did on my car back when i had was install traction bars with new tabs for the radiator and I used a PWR radiator made to fit in older civics.
heres a pic: I used the full-race traction bars and PWR radiator, the traction bars allowed me to use a 3" downpipe.

Too bad it's like a G for the rad and traction bar. </TD></TR></TABLE>
