To All With Hybrid Hondas
You guys have stock radiator or upgraded radiators? Deciding if I should bust my ***** for either an integra radiator customized to fit my car, or get a stock alluminum one. Thanks.

Re: To All With Hybrid Hondas (Autobot_Killer)
i have a hybrid turbo setup in my EG hatch. b18c w/ turbo and all the goodies. i do fine with the stock civic radiator which is half the size of the integra one. i think youll be fine with stock.

I have a fluidyne integra radiator in my EJ1, I just want the peice of mind that I know I will never overheat...and it will last longer than a OEM radiator. Honda radiators are known to split on the topside of the radiator where the plastic and the aluminum meet.

i was never able to keep either of the last two turbo hondas from overheating without an aluminum radiator my 2 cents

Re: To All With Hybrid Hondas (hybrid theory)
Summertime in texas and my car will run a little hot after getting on it a little.
So I am ordering my C&R drag style tommorow.

I might get flamed for this but oh well...
I went with a civic (fluidyne) radiator because it's across from the turbo, "custom fit". If you have an integra radiator (twice the size of a civic) you'll have cool air passing thru on one side ( in front of tranny) and Hot air on the otherside generated by the compresor. I noticed this because a buddy of mine with a GSR had a fluidyne integra radiator and was aways in the red because the heat of the compressor was transferring to the radiator, even though he had 2 "low-pro" fans it just couldn't handle the heat. he switched to my set-up and stayed cooler.

GOOD INFORMATION....i was wondering if the full radiator would pick up heat soak from the turbo and manifold!

Re: To All With Hybrid Hondas (chad)
So I should just get a civic radiator because it is half the size and no transfer of heat from the turbo? I'm planning on getting an alluminum one and can't get money for a fluidyne or perfromance one. It seems like alot of you are happy with the alluminum one. Thanks guys. That's what I'll be doing tomorrow!!

Re: To All With Hybrid Hondas (Autobot_Killer)
Car: B18B turbo CRX HF.
I ran full length Integra radiator for a while, no overheating problems even though it was 1/2" or less from the turbine and compressor. I only had one fan, it hardly ever cut on.
I now have a dual core Del Slo radiator, it runs just the same (fan hardly cuts on)- but frees up some space in front of the turbo for future upgrade :>
My friend Wes runs the same setup, turbo LS powered HF, with single core 92-95 radiator, mounted fukt so that the radiator is almost touching his turbine, and he has no overheating problems.
I think the sub-1800 lbs makes for less load/heat when you beat on it for a while. Lighter cars possibly don't have to worry radiator size/placement as much. That is an ASSumption, your mileage may vary.

from what I've heard the C&R drag style is the same half sized one except its thicker than the regular one.

Re: To All With Hybrid Hondas (Autobot_Killer)
I bought a PWR/fal fan for dirt cheap look around, performance rad's can be had cheaply.
i think it has a lot to do with the place you live, and if you commute in bumper to bumper traffic in 100+ weather.

Get a stock replacement for a Del-Sol VTEC. Its dual row as opposed to single row and drops right in. I have never had any overheating issues since doing that.

Re: To All With Hybrid Hondas (92sleepR)
DONT use a stock 99/00 Si rad.
its only god damn single core and I know for sure it struggles sometimes(warmer days) to keep the car cool.

Re: (Foozball26)
my drag style is about 1/2 way between a civic and an integra radiator in width. It's almost as wide as an integra radiator it just fits the car a whole lot better. The problem is that the wastegate on the full race manifold sits right where the extra width is.

Re: To All With Hybrid Hondas (Autobot_Killer)
go with the fluidyne and some good fans. when running boost you will heat up alot and heat the bad, more boost longer time will have more heat. so spend the exta money and do it right

Really? We installed one in Hybridcivicls-t's car and it was two core fore sure. You can get them for a little over $100 at radiator.com.
BUT, I had my LS turbo with my stock single core radiator and super fly HO fan and it ran frosty.
