ok so i put the scan tool at my shop to my car and it read catalytic bank 1..... should i replace the O2 or the cat itself??????????

 

???? my vote is on O2 but i wanna hear some opinions im sure somebody has had this code

I would try the o2 sensor first. They are alot cheaper than a cat.

 

yea but i also have an extra cat that i picked up off an 07 civic si and i just happened to might need it now and roughly how much to O2 sensors go for???

It all depends where you get it from. I have seen them go for as low as $20 all the way up to $60+.

is it a stock y7? not super familiar with the 07 si cat, but the stock y7 cat is built into the exhaust manifold. if you plan on using the other cat you will at the least need to get an ebay header or y8 manifold (or any d-series without a built-in cat)

by the way what was the 'P' code you read?

 

i already have aftermarket full exhaust including headers so i dont have a pre cat i only have the regular cat but yess the motor is stock i dont understand what p code is

A "P Code" is the code that your scan tool is going to give you... For example.. My civic is throwing a P1337 and a P1508.... What was the code u were throwing?
