it all depends. if it's for all 4 wheels, then no.
if the mechanic has to dissassemble you suspension, then no.
if you are bring him the knuckle then yes.
if the only thing he's doing is pressing in the hub, then it should only be about $40.
and remember, only the front need pressing in, the rears don't.

actually they are quite easy to replace, it's removing the hub that consist of pressing. which if the op is talking about the fronts, then yes, he does need to take/go to a shop and have them pressed out then pressed in (hub).

whenever I press out hubs the inner race from the bearing seems to always come out with the hub.
My question is "do I have to replace the bearing since the bearing has come apart?"
I was taught just to replace since your already there and they can fail, but is it really necessary?

you kind of already answered your own question. why do things twice, or have it fail because it was removed/seperated.
i rather be safe than sorry.

i actually took the assembly to him, i thought it was a little steep.
I supplied the wheel studs as well.
i've seen the DIY in the faq, my local rental place doesn't have a hub puller, so i got nowhere else to gooo
thanks though guys.
